Miranda Lambert’s Admits Her First Studio Session Ended Terribly

When Miranda Lambert was just a teenager at the age of 16, she had the opportunity to hit the music studio, which seemed like the ideal dream for any aspiring musician. It was when she went in for her first actual session located in Nashville, that her dreams of music seemed to drop. Hit with a catalog of songs to try out, she felt no connection towards, she left the studio unsatisfied and returned back home.

Lambert reveals that her first time hitting the studio, things didn’t work out as she had intended. While she had intentions to be the next big star in country music, the people calling her into the studio were looking for the next big pop star.

“I was unable to relate with any of the songs presented to me, I saw no reflection of myself in any of them,” Lambert shared in an email about the events. “Fortunately, I knew early on that I had to remain true to myself, but it looks like I made the right decision.

“At the time I felt pretty stupid for walking out on my dreams, but looking back on it, that was the best thing I’ve ever done. After that, my father sat me down for a lesson in song writing. That opened my eyes to see how important it is to have my own voice in my music.”

After that, Miranda was inspired to only create music with meaning. When she signed a deal in 2003, she made the conscious decision to reduce the length of her debut album, cutting more than 10 songs off the list.

“Whenever I go to create an album, every song draws inspiration from events in my life, things that I’ve encountered personally,” shared Lambert. “It doesn’t matter whether I write the songs, or someone writes them for me. Naturally, I tend to be attracted by music that shares the same stories I’m trying to tell.

“Music is a universal language, everyone has a song that they can fully relate to. As a musician, I believe that this is everyone’s goal when they go out and create their music.

Miranda loves to go out and create music that has a deep effect on her, songs that not only she can relate to, but most importantly those who love her music.

Miranda Lambert’s latest album release The Weight of These Wings, released late last year in November. This time around she had decided to drop an album consisting of two CD’s, altogether containing 24 songs. For the songstress to describe the process behind each individual song would take quite some time, and unfortunately, that is a luxury we are unable to afford.

Sitting down for a one-on-one interview with iHeartRadio correspondent Coltier Brandson, the two discussed the new album, and Lambert shared some details on a couple songs. Of the lengthy 24 track album, there were 3 songs in particular that Lambert felt very strong about, and shared a bit of background story behind them.

The two started off with what seems to be a favorite among her fans, the song “Tin Man” which she wrote alongside fellow Texan Jack Ingram.

“Sometimes its tough going through heartbreak, it can be a touchy subject, and not everyone is comfortable talking about it,” Lambert told Brandson.

“Runnin’ Just in Case” had drawn inspiration from living life on the road, and was written while travelling on tour from one city to another.

“I spent a sleepless night crafting that song,” she shared. “I started writing it in Alabama all the way until we arrived in Mississippi. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I was up until at least 4 AM, and I was back up 3 hours later to try and finish it. I love making songs like this that cause sleepless nights, and when someone approaches you and they talk about it, I’m like, ‘Awesome, that paid off.'”

Lastly, “Smoking Jacket” was the song that Lambert kept until the end to discuss, which tells the story of the search for love involving a man wearing a smoking jacket. Brandson was quick to ask if it was about current boyfriend, Anderson East.

“Well, he is a smoker,” she playfully replied.

Miranda Lambert Sits Down For A Chat

Miranda Lambert has recently hit the road for her Highway Vagabond Tour, and with the glowing reviews the shows have gotten, we can state that a ticket to her show is well worth the price of admission.

Although she’s now raking in the big bucks, she hasn’t strayed far from her days of shopping at Walmart.

Sitting down with correspondent Coltier Bronsen, Lambert shared a shopping experience with boyfriend Anderson East. Hitting the bargain bin of the local Walmart, the couple stumbled across a copy of one of her albums.

“Anderson was like, “It’s nice to know that you sell,” the musician recollected.

Days of leisure don’t come around that often now that Miranda is back on tour, debuting new songs off the new album The Weight of These Wings.

She tells us that they’re still playing around with things to get the show just right.

“It’s just like driving stick,” she said. “You start going through the motions, then it’s like, “Oh right, that’s what performing feels like.’ It’s a great change.”

It’s been years since Miranda has added new music to her repertoire, which has taken her out of her zone of comfort, but making slight tweaks to the set list have helped her out.

“Quite frankly, I just need to adapt with the environment to play new material,” she said. “Everything’s still new and fresh. Mentally, I was unsure if I was fully read to perform them live. Performing on stage is a completely different experience.

“But at the end of the day, that’s my career. People who come to my shows looking for that, so this time around I had to provide it to them. It feels amazing that I achieved that,” she said.

Miranda Plans On Bringing Her “Honest & True” Self On Tour

Each and every single Miranda Lambert record is a quick peek into her life when she is creating the album.

The country star went through a very public and painful divorce from Country music’s bad boy, Blake Shelton, and you can hear her pain and struggle on her latest album!

Some songs like ‘runnin’ Just In Case’, ‘Highway Vagabond’ show Miranda’s want to leave, and we are sure to see that on her tour!

“I am just trying to show the real me when I make a record,” Miranda told us. “I almost always write about what’s going on in my life because it’s a form of therapy for me. All my albums have me sown into the fabric of them, this one just happened to be during a rough time in my life.”

“The entire album from beginning to end is my journey of feeling unspeakable pain to the vulnerable-ness that coincides with divorce to happiness and how I worked my way through it.”

There was no doubt that Miranda would pull through this very public divorce, she is, after all, a Texas-born arse-kicker. Miranda, who’s charting hits are endless, isn’t only strong but she claims she defies the country norms.

“I had no intentions of ever creating a double album, but after my amazing writing sessions I ended up with almost 80 songs, and after cutting the ones that didn’t really fit out I still had 24. That’s when I went to my label and told them I needed more time, to widdle down the collection of songs I wanted to do, and it was actually them who said let’s put out a double album. It was a relief as I’m not sure which I would have cut” Explained Miranda

Lambert Refusing Interviews, Will Let Music Speak For Her!

mirandawhatholyshit

Miranda Lambert has completely refused to engage in any interviews to help advertise her most recent album release. This is mostly because she wants to avoid making the same errors as Blake following his album release, and Gwen, who were notorious for heavily promoting their albums on news outlets – often “digressing” to talking about their newfound love.

“Miranda was given spots in the New York Times, Rolling Stone, The Economist . . . but she went to her manager and stated, ‘I won’t do any promoting, I need my music to speak for itself’ ” a source told Radar Online.

“She said she’d only perform on TV (Late Night shows and so on). Miranda forced her publicists to turn all magazine and newspaper interviews down. She said, ‘Blake and Gwen did an immense amount of promoting via news sources and their albums didn’t sell.’ She wants to go the “Old School” route and let her music speak for itself.” Miranda launched her sixth record, “The Weight of These Wings,” off last Thursday, and a few of her tunes are based on her past marriage with Blake and her most recent lover Anderson East. If you’re familiar with the singer’s love life, it’s quite the emotional listen.

Anderson collaborated with Miranda and sung a chorus part in the song “Pushin’ Time.” “I am so proud of ma girl. She’s a true voice, a true artist, and a true friend” he wrote in an Instagram post on Saturday. On “Pushin’,” she sings, “Are we fools for rushing in cuz I already dread the end. Lonely ain’t no place to start, guess that’s just where we are . . . If it has to end in tears, I hope it’s in 60 years.”

Former One Direction member Niall Horan has announced that his much anticipated solo debut album has been delayed.

In an interview with the singer, he went on to state: “The last thing I want to do is rush something out. I know originally it was supposed to drop beginning of the summer, but now I don’t think that’s a possibility.

Looking to spend more time refining the songs with his own writing, he is still unsure of when it will release.

“At the moment I have no date in mind.

“I wanna get it right, you only get one solo debut. I’m going to keep working on it, and when it’s all said and done, I’ll let you guys know. I’m not chasing after hit singles.”

What inspired Michele’s new album was a book she received from friend, Stevie Nicks, after the passing of co-star and boyfriend Cory Monteith. The singer/actress felt a connection after reading the words “The only thing that matters is you, and who you are,”.

The title of the album however was inspired by broadway call: “Places, everyone!”. To Michele “places” just sounded right.

For the newest album, Michele will be trying something new as she will be using Celine Dion as inspiration.

We definitely can’t wait to see what treat Michele has in store for us with her album!
